(Admission Info) NIMHANS Bangalore Paramedical Admissions 2010

National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) invites applications on prescribed form for Admission to the following courses for the academic Year 2010-11.
1. B.Sc. in Nursing
2. B.Sc. in Radiography
3. B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology
1. B.Sc. in Nursing: 4 years duration.
Minimum Qualification for Admission:
(i) Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 years course) OR
(ii) Senior School Certificate Examination, Pre-degree Examination (10+2) OR
(iii) An Equivalent with 12 years of Schooling from a recognized Board or
University
(With Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English with a minimum of 50% aggregate)
2. B.Sc. in Radiography: 3 years duration.
Minimum Qualification for Admission:
(i) Pre University Course OR
(ii) Job Oriented Diploma course from a recognized Board with Diagnostic
Radiography as vocational subject or Equivalent OR
(iii) An Equivalent with 12 years of Schooling from a recognized Board
(With Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology & English)
3. B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology: 3 years duration.
Minimum Qualification for Admission:
Pass in Two year Pre University Course Examination or equivalent with a
Science group having secured an aggregate of 50% in Science subjects
GUIDELINES: Candidates should bring the results of their qualifying
examination as on the date of Entrance Test i.e., 27th June 2010.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Application form for all the courses are available online at the NIMHANS
website www.nimhans.kar.nic.in The applications have to be filled online and
submitted online. Printout of the Application Abstract with the latest passport
size photograph affixed (in the column provided) along with the Demand Draft
drawn in favour of The Director, NIMHANS, Bangalore560 029 and relevant
enclosures should be sent to the Director, NIMHANS, Hosur Road, Bangalore - 560
029 by superscribing the name of the course(s) applied for on the Envelope
without fail.
2. The application fee is Rs.1000/- per course for General candidates & Rs.750/-
per course for SC/ST candidates.
3. Foreign Nationals are required to submit their applications through the
Diplomatic Channel (through the Ministry of External Affairs). They shall also
appear for the common Entrance Test along with other candidates.
4. Sponsored candidates should submit their application through proper channel
and they should also appear for Common Entrance Test. The candidates should
produce the sponsorship certificate in the prescribed format.
5. AGE LIMIT: The age of candidates should be between minimum of 17 years
and maximum of 25 years as on 02.08.2010.

7. Application is available online upto : 20th May 2010
8. Last date for receipt of Application abstract by post/courier : 25th May 2010
9. Entrance Test will be held in Bang alore on : 27th June 2010
10. Commencement of the Courses : 2nd August 2010
11. Last date for admission of candidates : 9th August 2010
Incomplete applications, applications not submitted online, without enclosures
i.e., Qualifying Exam Marks sheets, Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC
Category & experience certificate if applicable and Applications without Demand
Draft or insufficient Demand Draft will be rejected. The Demand Draft or
application of the rejected candidates will not be returned at any cost. No
communication will be given against the rejected applications. Demand Draft or
enclosures sent subsequently will not be considered. Application abstract will
strictly not be received after 25th May 2010. No interim enquiry or
correspondence will be entertained. Candidates called for Entrance Test and
Counseling must be present at the venue within the stipulated time, failing
which they will not be considered for Entrance Test or Counseling at any cost.
Eligible candidates can take printout of their Hall-Ticket for the Entrance Test
from NIMHANS website only. Hall-Tickets will not be sent by post. List of
qualified candidates for counseling will be notified on the Institute's Notice
Board and Website. No separate individual intimation will be given. The decision
of the Director in all matters regarding selection will be final and no
representation in any form will be entertained. The candidate must visit the
website from time to time for all necessary details and updates on the above.
