Amrita Entrance Examination – Medical 2010 (AEEM 2010)

Amrita conducts entrance exams for admission to many of its bachelors and masters level programs. Nation-wide exams are conducted for BTech, MBBS, BDS, BAMS and MCA. For many other programs, entrance exams are conducted at the schools' premises.

1. Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) / Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) / Bachelor of ayurvedik medicines of surgery (BAMS)

  • Must have passed the Higher Secondary examination or its equivalent in the first attempt.
  • The last two years of such study should include Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English.
  • Should have secured not less than 60% marks in English and minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for Biology, Chemistry and Physics, taken together.
  • Age: Seventeen years to be completed but not to exceed 23 as on 31-12-2010.

Candidates who passed their Higher Secondary Examination from a Syllabus other than CBSE or any Indian State syllabus should produce an Equivalence Certificate from -

2. BSc (Nursing)
Same as above but 50% marks in English and 60% marks in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Candidates who passed their Higher Secondary Examination from a Syllabus other than CBSE or any Indian State syllabus should produce an Equivalence Certificate from -

3. BSc (Respiratory Therapy)
Pass in plus two (+2) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Natural Sciences. Candidates who passed their Higher Secondary Examination from a Syllabus other than CBSE or any Indian State syllabus should produce an Equivalence Certificate from -

4.BPharm
Pass in Plus Two with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. (Instead of Biology; Maths / Bio-Technology or Computer Science are also acceptable).

5. BSc (MRT)
First class in plus two (+2) with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Candidates who passed their Higher Secondary Examination from a Syllabus other than CBSE or any Indian State syllabus should produce an Equivalence Certificate from  -

How To Apply: Application Form and Prospectus:-
a) By Post: Write to the Admission Co­ordinator, Office of Admissions, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, AIMS-Ponekkara. P.O., Kochi-682 041 along with a Demand Draft for Rs.1, 320/- for MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS & Rs.670/- for other courses favoring "Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham", payable at Kochi.
b) In Person: Collect from select branches of Dhanalakshmi Bank Ltd/ South Indian Bank Ltd. or The Federal Bank Ltd. on payment of Rs.1, 250/- for MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS SRs 600/-for other courses. (List of branches available in www.amrita.edu) or,
c)   Download: from the website. Completed application to be sent along with a DD for Rs.1,320/- for MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS & Rs.670/-for other courses to The Admission Co­ordinator, Office of Admissions, AIMS-Ponekkara .P.O, Kochi 682 041.
d) Application can be submitted ONLINE too.
