NOTIFICATION
ADMISSION TO PARAMEDICAL CERTIFICATE COURSES/ D.M.L.T. COURSES FOR 2008-2009 SESSION

1. Applications are invited from the candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Course with Science, Subjects in the State of Tamilnadu for admission to the following Para Medical Certificate Courses (1 year)/ Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology Course (2 years) for 2008-2009 session in Government Medical Colleges/ King Institute of Preventive Medicine, Guindy, Chennai-12.

2. The candidates should be a citizen of India and his / her age should be between 17 and 30 years and for SC/ST candidates 35 years as on 31.12.2008.

3. ISSUE OF APLICATION FORM WITH PROSPETUS
a) The application form with prospectus for the following courses will be issued from the 14 Government Medical Colleges/ King Institute of Preventive Medicine, Guindy, Chennai-32 on all working days form 25-07-2008 to 08-08-2008 (upto 3.00 PM)

1. Cardio Sonography Technician (120 seats)
2. ECG/ Trend Mill Technician (400 seats)
3. Pump Technician (60 seats)

4. Cardiac Catherisation Lab Technician (60 seats)
5. Emergency Care Technician (280 seats)
6. Respiratory Technician (280 seats)
7. Dialysis Technician (200 seats)
8. anesthesia Technician (500 seats)
9. Theatre Technician (500 seats)
10. Orthopedic Technician (500 seats)
11. Certified Radiological Assistant (X-ray) (140 seats)

DIPLOMA COURSE - 2 YEARS DURATION
12. Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (1450 seats)

b) details of courses conducted in each Government Medical College with number of seats and other conditions are furnished in the prospectus. The candidates are requested to verify the above details before applying for the course in a particular college.

4. COST OF APPLICATION FORM/ PROSPECTUS (Rs.200/-)
a) The candidates/ authorized persons can obtained the application form and prospectus with a written requisition enclosing a crossed Demand Draft drawn for Rs.200/- in favour of the Dean of the concerned Government Medical College and Payable at the concerned station. The Demand Draft should have been issued by anyone of the Nationalized Banks only and dated not earlier than the date of this advertisement.

b) POST ORDERS OR MONEY ORDERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

c) SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of cost of application form of Rs.200/-. They can obtained the application/ prospectus with a written requisition duty enclosing an attested Xerox copy of the Community certificate issued by the appropriate Revenue authorities. The candidates should also give a declaration that he/she has not obtained the application form for the above course form any other Medical College at free of cost.

5. (a) Only one prospectus should be obtained which contains 2 separate application forms; one combined form for all Para Medical Certificate courses and the other for DMLT course.
(b) Hence separate application form intended for Para Medical Certificate Courses and DMLT Course should be sent.
(c) The King Institute of Preventive Medicine, Guindy, Chennai-32 conducts only DMLT course with 50 seats.

6. LAST DATE / ADDRESS TO WHICH APPLICATION FORM TO BE SENT
Completed application form for (a) Paramedical Certificate Course (b) DMLT course with all relevant enclosure should be sent to

where the applicant desires to undergo the course, before 5.00 PM. on 08-08-2008 either in person or by post.

Candidates applying for DMLT course at King Institute of Preventive Medicine, Guindy, Chennai-32 should be send their application form with enclosure to

7. Applications received after the prescribed date will not be considered.

8. Application forms and prospectus will not be issued form the Directorate of Medical Education or Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10.
