HIV FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME

CLINICAL AND LEADERSHIP TRAINING
November 2008 - November 2009

Announcing a one-year HIV clinical and leadership training programme jointly run by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Government Hospital of Thoracic Medicine (GHTM), and the International Training and Education Center on HIV (I-TECH).

The programme includes:
Daily hands-on clinical training and experiential learning
Daily didactic and case-based sessions
Mentoring by local and international experts
Management and leadership skills development

18 exceptional candidates will be selected form across India via a competitive process. Monthly remuneration of Rs.18000/- for private candidates will be paid. Tamil Nadu Govt. candidates will receive salary from sponsoring institutions, as per rules.

ELIGIBILITY:
MBBS recognized by MCI, India. Postgraduate degree/ Diploma in any medical discipline preferred.
40 years or less as of Nov. 2008
Indian Nationals only
Fluency in English preferred
Commitment to a career in HIV medical care and/ or programme management
