Government Medical College & Hospital(GMCH) Is Recruiting Multiple Positions at Chandigarh In 2010

Applications on prescribed proforma alongwith attested photocopies of all relevant documents and non refundable application fee of 100/- (Rs.25/- in case of SC candidate(s) by means of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director Principal, GMCH, payable at Chandigarh and a recent passport size photograph, are invited for filling up of following posts:-
1) Senior Residents
- Number of Post: 53 posts in various disciplines
- Essential Qualification and Experience: Postgraduate Medical Degree i.e.(M.D./M.S./M.D.S./D.M./ M.Ch/ DNB) OR equivalent in the concerned specialty (recognized by MCI and registered either with Indian Medical Council or State Medical Council). If such candidates are not available in any particular speciality, those with postgraduate diploma can be considered.
- Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100( With initial start of Rs.18750/-) carrying Grade Pay Rs.6600/- +allowances as admissible as per orders of the Government issued from time to time.
- Age Limit: 33 years and in case of post doctoral degree holders is 35 years [Relaxable 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST & Govt. Servants . In case of widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their Husbands, who are not remarried shall be 35 years (40 years for members of SC).
2) Central Casualty Services
- Number of Posts: 09 posts in various disciplines
- Essential Qualification and Experience:
Postgraduate Medical Degree i.e.(M.D./M.S./M.D.S./D.M./ M.Ch/ DNB) OR equivalent in the concerned specialty (recognized by MCI and registered either with Indian Medical Council or State Medical Council). If such candidates are not available in any particular speciality, those with postgraduate diploma can be considered. - Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100( With initial start of Rs.18750/-) carrying Grade Pay Rs.6600/- +allowances as admissible as per orders of the Government issued from time to time.
- Age Limit: 33 years and in case of post doctoral degree holders is 35 years [Relaxable 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST & Govt. Servants . In case of widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their Husbands, who are not remarried shall be 35 years (40 years for members of SC).
3) Demonstrator
- Number of Posts: 18 posts in various disciplines
- Essential Qualification and Experience: MBBS (PG degree/ diploma holders shall be preferred)/ M.Sc (Medical) in concerned specialty for non-medical persons for Demonstrators.
- Pay Scale: Rs.10300-34800( With initial start of Rs.13450/-) carrying grade pay Rs.5000/- + NPA (for Medical Graduates only, if admissible).
- Age Limit: 30 years for MBBS and 33 years for PG degree holder) [Relaxable 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST & Govt. Servants . In case of widows,divorced women and women judicially separated from their Husbands, who are not remarried shall be 35 years (40 years for members of SC).
4) Emergency Medical Officers (EMO)
- Number of Posts: 03 posts
- Essential Qualification and Experience: MBBS (PG degree/ diploma holders shall be preferred)/ M.Sc (Medical) in concerned specialty for non-medical persons for Demonstrators.
- Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 carrying grade pay Rs. 5400/- + NPA if admissible.
- Age Limit: 30 years for MBBS and 33 years for PG degree holder) [Relaxable 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST & Govt. Servants . In case of widows,divorced women and women judicially separated from their Husbands, who are not remarried shall be 35 years (40 years for members of SC).
5) Medical Officers(MO)/Lady Medical Officer(LMO)/(Community Medicine Department)
- Number of Posts: 03 posts
- Essential Qualification and Experience: MBBS (PG degree/ diploma holders shall be preferred)/ M.Sc (Medical) in concerned specialty for non-medical persons for Demonstrators.
- Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 carrying grade pay Rs. 5400/- + NPA if admissible.
- Age Limit: 30 years for MBBS and 33 years for PG degree holder) [Relaxable 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST & Govt. Servants . In case of widows,divorced women and women judicially separated from their Husbands, who are not remarried shall be 35 years (40 years for members of SC).
Written test: The decision regarding conduction of written test for the above said posts for short listing the candidates will be taken on receipt of number of applications and the public notice in this regard will be issued in the leading news papers separately. The Date, Time and venue of interview will be intimated later on through Public Notice/ call letters as the case may be.
How To Apply:
The application format alongwith other information regarding qualification, experience,pay scales, age, reservation etc. can be obtained from the office of Director Principal, Hall No. III, Block-D, Level-II, Hospital Building, GMCH-32, Chandigarh, personally on any working day from Monday to Friday between 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. The application format alongwith other information can also be downloaded from our website gmch.gov.in.
Reservation and Relaxation:
(I) The reservation and relaxation in the upper age limit will be made only for the category of the posts reserved for such categories, as per the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.
(II) The SC/OBC candidates applying against un-reserved posts are not entitled to any relaxation in upper age limit.
(III) The claim of the candidate to SC/OBC (not BC) categories should be considered only when accompanied by the certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format.
Notes:
i) Number of Vacancies whether General & Reserve are tentative can increase or decrease.
ii) 08 posts of Senior Residents and 02 posts of Emergency Medical Officers (EMO),Medical Officers (MO) & Lady Medical Officers (LMO) are reserved for Orthopaedically Physically handicapped persons(Non Surgical).
iii) The total marks obtained in all professionals of MBBS alongwith percentage of marks and maximum marks must be mentioned in the application form in the appropriate column.
